    Exoplan

    Founding engineer

    A SwiftUI app for iPhone and Apple Watch with a Node.js backend, made with designer Paul Never. I was the only engineer.

    • Built the energy model, a Python function on Firebase that turns 8 weeks of HealthKit heart rate, activity and sleep data into daily energy estimates.
    • Cut out workouts and dropped outliers with DBSCAN, then fitted a LOWESS curve for each weekday, with a threshold that adapts to each person.
    • Built an AI scheduling agent over WebSocket that asks the iPhone for live EventKit and energy data through tool calls before it answers.
    • Scored each night’s sleep against the person’s own 30-day baseline, after cleaning up the HealthKit sleep data.

    SRTX, makers of Sheertex

    Product engineer

    Factory software for a Y Combinator textile company: TypeScript, React, Node.js.

    • Moved all the core factory dashboards to live data and rebuilt reporting with advanced filtering.
    • Built a waste tracking system from the ground up: scrap stations, sorting and the operator screens, with end-to-end tests.
    • Built 8 warehouse and inventory modules end to end, from NestJS and database migrations to React: material handling, stock splitting and location inspections.

    Turbota

    Co-founder, non-profit

    A “marketplace of help” for Ukrainian refugees, on the web and on iPhone. Six of us launched it in three weeks.

    • Implemented a fully serverless backend on Firebase and set up CI/CD on CircleCI.
    • Led a team of 6 across product, engineering, marketing and support.
    • Got 5 Instagram influencers with a combined following of 1.35 million to feature it, which doubled as a stress test.

    Sparkle

    Lead software engineer

    A platform for online events and festivals, built with TypeScript, React and Firebase.

    • Traced a 3-minute freeze near 1,000 concurrent users to an open-source library and fixed it there with a pull request.
    • Designed a refactor for up to 100,000 concurrent users, with a new data hierarchy and denormalized data.
    • Led the work with an outside games studio on the interactive map that hosted Burning Man online.
    • Joined as a senior engineer and grew into leading and coaching a team of 8.

    Frontend engineer

    Schibsted, Innovecs, Corva, K-3Soft and GeekMyWeb

    5 web projects for media, finance, oil and gas, advertising and recruitment companies.

    • At Schibsted, a media company of more than 1,000 people: built a shared components pack for 3 cross-functional teams.
    • For Upstox, a stock trading platform: built a cross-tab communication service behind a facade over the browser API, so traders can open 3 or more tabs without extra socket connections.
    • At Corva: cut load time by more than 70% with code splitting that shrank the initial bundle, and brought in peer code reviews.
